a bit about me

This is me—the creative force behind TamlynJade. The dreamer, the maker, the lover of beautiful things and quiet order.

As a child, I wanted to be everything from an astronaut to a volcanologist—anything that fueled my love for “crazy” big ideas and stories. I have always believed that the best education is a broad one, and for a long time, I dreamed of being a librarian—living among books and helping others cultivate a love for the written word.

When I finally hit university, I chose the bold path of Dramatic Arts, only to realize my heart belonged behind the scenes, directing the chaos rather than being in the spotlight. I eventually traded the stage for the soil, studying archaeology and geography to chase adventure. But as a woman in that field, I quickly became well-acquainted with the word “no.” Ever the optimist, I launched myself into a course in event management—a field where I believed I could bridge my love for beauty and order. For a while, it worked. But my greatest dream was to have a family.

When I became a mom, I chose to step away from the traditional workforce for ten years. But I didn’t stop “making.” Between raising my two sons, I was a freelance writer, a blogger, a self-taught woodworker, and a graphic designer. I spent a decade honing the art of the “juggle”—keeping my creativity alive in the quiet pockets between naptime and school runs.

Then, at thirty-eight, I found myself re-entering the workforce—or trying to. With children to raise and provide for, I needed flexibility and a stable income—a combination that is notoriously difficult to find. Being a present, hands-on mother is non-negotiable for me. Our home is a busy one: my partner and I have three boys between us, two cats, one geriatric dog, and a shared dream of a future in a small town. I realized that while I love my life, I needed more than just admin jobs to make ends meet. I needed a system.

I created this business as a tribute to the woman I’ve become and the dreamer I’ve always been. I know exactly what it feels like to want more while having no time. I turn my lifelong love for order and setting things “just so” into practical resources and printables for women like us. My goal is to provide the structure that allows your creativity and your family to thrive simultaneously. If you’re starting over, building a dream, or just trying to keep the household running without losing your joy—you are not alone. Let’s take it one system, and one step, at a time.
